First Impressions: Uh oh. I never get a good feeling when I have to really work to understand what the heck I’m looking at. There was some flash on this SBS ACW 15 Gen Irr Gen 1one-piece figure, but there were also a lot of scrambled eggs. The detail was murky and there are quite a few features which are a mystery to me. However, in a note accompanying the samples, Ian writes:

I’m afraid you’ve nicked one of our oldest and smallest ranges. A lot of our ranges are being remodeled, but until then these are the figures. I enclose a sample of FR1, as an example of the newer size!

Dem Bones - The Anatomy: This is a very portly officer with a torso very nearly as thick as it is wide (I wonder his how much longer his horse will hold up). One side of the face is nice, the other just a mess. The horse’s legs are all out of proportion and the front one widens out at the bottom.

SBS ACW 15 Gen Irreg Gen A

Everybody Vogue: The pose is fine as far as it goes. The horse’s gait looks normal.

Do Those Buttons Read USA or USB? All of the finer detail on this figure is very rough. The reins are hard to follow, and that bag hanging below the horse’s nose looks like more than flash.
