One musket, one box of minie balls - you can’t travel any lighter than that! Considering this is a true 15 mm figure (at exactly 15 mm from sole to eye) he looks quite gaunt (perhaps he’s an 1865 Confederate?).

Dem Bones - The Anatomy: Clearly there’s no low-carb diet in this man’s future. TheSBS ACW 15 Inf Lanc1 legs are long and thin but they are the right size. The right arm looks a too large around. The length is right though. In short, a well sculpted figure. The face is well defined though there’s not much of an expression to be seen. The front foot is tiny, tiny, tiny.

Everybody Vogue: I have seen this same pose in many lines, but I never know why. If you look at his legs, he’s clearly lunging. The back foot is planted perpendicular to his chest for leverage when he thrusts. Yet the bayonet is not leveled. Clearly, he is supposed to be advancing or charging. But that back foot always throws me off. A minor point, perhaps, and by no means limited to figures by Lancashire. Otherwise I think this is a fine pose - energeticSBS ACW 15 Inf Lanc2 without being melodramatic.

Do Those Buttons Read USA or USB? This figure has more in common with the “old school” line of Historifigs and the like. The clothes are fairly smooth - no real creases or folds, and those there are are very subtle. This means those who favor the high-contrast style of painting will have to do it without raised surfaces to help them. The musket is well done and cleanly cast, and the figure is crisp overall.

The Reserves: Other figures

I think these Union troops are a bit better than the Rebel above. Still, the anatomy is definitely from the same sculptor and most of the comments still apply.
