Here we have another line of Napoleonic gnomes. I wanted to like this figure because it has some very nice detail (and leaves out details that should be). But the torso is too tall for the legs, the hands are twice the size of the feet, and the face is too short compared to the shako.

This figure does have nice equipment (though this chap seems to have lost his bayonet scabbard). The canteen has a strap, the jacket “wings” of the flank company are good, and the lace on the shoulders is left to me to paint - it is not sculpted in. I wish the same approach had been used for the jacket cuffs - these look like bracelets in the shape of gears, not fabric and lace cuffs.

Another drawback to the line is the limited number of poses. Each bag contains only one pose and they do not have a very wide offering compared to other manufacturers. The British are available in 1815 uniform only. Come on, Waterloo is not that interesting a battle compared to, say, Salamanca or Corunna. How about some more Peninsular Brits?
