BASE UNIT:
1 Squad, representing 5 – 10 soldiers
GAME SCALES:
- Ground scale (1” = roughly 40m)
- Time scale (1 turn = 10 min – 4 hours)
- Figure/Base Ratio (1 base = 5 – 10 soldiers. 1 vehicle = 1 vehicle)
- Recommended Figure size: 6mm to 15mm.
- Table Size: 4’ x ‘ 4 for smaller games, 6’ x 4’ for larger games.
- Game Length: 2 – 4 hours
BASING SIZES:
- Squad: 40mm x 20mm
- Vehicle: 20mm x 40mm
- Weapon Team: 20mm x 20mm
TURN SEQUENCE:
- Players roll off to see who will activate first
- Players alternate activating 1 platoon each
- Roll to see if time advances from day to night or night to day
GAME MECHANICS:
2D6 skill checks for most tasks, modified by unit quality, cover, suppression, etc. Damage generally requires rolling a number of D6s and checking a damage table. Results of Casualties or Retreat will cause a 2D6 check. Hidden deployment and movement mechanics and friction are a large part of the gameplay.
