First of all, let me say I have no idea what the headgear is - perhaps a bandage? I decided to just make it a brown hat.  While it

looks small the figure actually runs a full 16 mm from boot sole to eye. The slender build is perhaps responsible.

Dem Bones - The Anatomy: The anatomy is quite sound overall. The hands are a bit large perhaps, but it’s a minor quibble. The face

is very good - looking down the musket, nice full mustache. Furthermore all the joints are in all the right places.

Everybody Vogue: The pose is also solid. He’s balanced, steady, and looks every inch the professional - calmly taking aim for the Union.

Do Those Buttons Read USA or USB? The detail here is good and some is a bit overstated. The canteen strap is quite thick compared to the vessel itself. The bands on the musket look a little oversized. This certainly makes for an easy to paint figure, and I think the balance the sculptor went for works - the final result is very recognizable without being a caricature.

The Reserves: Other figures

He may be slightly ham-handed, but otherwise another solid entry.
