I like this figure very much even though the pose seems very odd. This voltigeur is clearly looking down, not straight ahead, and I guess he is swinging his right arm, but I’m not sure. But these feelings aside, this is a really good figure.
Leaving aside the pose, all of the body parts are in the right place and right size, even the feet. It measures in at exactly 15 mm from boot sole to eye. It is a very detailed figure and very crisp in the detail. The face is plain but serviceable (no mustache is sculpted, you have to paint in any facial hair you want). The details here are all present but kept close to scale. Straps, belts and musket detail are raised, but barely so. If you like more pronounced detail you may not enjoy painting these figures, but otherwise I expect you should be pleased.
My quibbles with the figure are, again, minor. The plume seems over sized (but I think that about a lot of figures) and the bayonet a bit small. The shako looks the right size as does the pack. In all, a clean, easy to paint figure.
